Hanna Fotsch joined the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo in February 2019. As Program Director, she is responsible for developing, implementing, evaluating and enhancing programs as well as coordinating volunteer services.
Hanna is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and previously worked at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH.
Hanna has been very active as a volunteer and supervisor in various organizations serving those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has a passion for working with individuals with Down syndrome and has dedicated the past two years doing research on inclusive camps offered through PALS Programs, and the impact attendance has on the meaningful friendships and personal growth for young adults with DS.
Hanna is a Toledo native. She received a Bachelor's of Science degree in Recreation Therapy from the University of Toledo. After working for two years as a CTRS, she attended graduate school and received a research-based Master's of Science degree with a concentration in Recreation Therapy from Clemson University of South Carolina.
