Welcome to DSAGT
We want to be the first to welcome you to the Down syndrome community. If you have just received a Down syndrome diagnosis, we know you may be feeling a wide range of emotions right now. You may be feeling sad, confused, scared angry, and/or isolated. We want you to know it's okay and more importantly, know you are not alone...
The Down Syndrome Association of Greater Toledo is here to help. We can connect you to other parents who have been in your shoes, who know exactly what you're going through. We can also answer your questions and provide you with up-to-date resources and education. Please check out our New Parents Guide for your next steps and when you're ready, we'd love to meet you.

Parent Mentoring Program
DSAGT can help connect new and expectant parents of babies with Down syndrome to trained parent mentors, who have been through similar experiences with raising a child with Down syndrome. New and expecting parents will receive support and guidance from their mentors during the first year following birth. Mentors can help answer questions, share helpful tips they've learned over the years and share up-to-date resources with new and expecting parents. If you're interested in being connected to a parent mentor please email us at information@dsagt.org.
